ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

B. Tech. in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AI &DS) is an undergraduate programme with advanced learning solutions imparting knowledge of advanced innovations like artificial intelligence, data science, machine learning and deep learning. The main goal of artificial intelligence (AI) and data science (DS) is to program computers to use example data or experience to solve a given problem. This specialized B.Tech. course is specially designed to enable students to build intelligent machines, software, or applications with a cutting-edge combination of machine learning, analytics and visualization technologies. The Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science Engineering at the AHEC was established in 2024 with an intake of 60 students. The intake is increased by 180 students from 2025.

SALIENT FEATURES OF THE DEPARTMENT

1. Emphasis on hands-on training using Real-world examples and projects that help students apply the skills they learned as part of laboratory sessions.
2. Humanities and Social sciences is an integral part of the curriculum, particularly covering ethical aspects of AI.
