ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Arunachala Hitech Engineering College was established with the vision of developing skilled engineers equipped with strong fundamentals in mechanical sciences and modern engineering technologies. The department focuses on providing quality education that blends theoretical knowledge with practical exposure to prepare students for real-world engineering challenges.

The department is supported by well-equipped laboratories and modern workshop facilities that enable students to gain hands-on experience. These include laboratories for Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Fluid Mechanics and Machinery, Thermal Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, CAD/CAM, and Metrology & Measurements. These facilities help students understand the practical aspects of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and industrial applications.

Our faculty members are highly qualified, experienced, and dedicated to academic excellence and research. Through innovative teaching methods, project-based learning, and continuous mentoring, they guide students to develop strong technical and analytical skills. Mechanical Engineering offers a wide range of career opportunities in both *Government and Private sectors, including roles such as Design Engineer, Production Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Automobile Engineer, Thermal Engineer, Quality Control Engineer, Robotics Engineer, and Manufacturing Engineer in industries such as automobile, aerospace, energy, manufacturing, and heavy engineering.
